It seems like it has never been easier to order a late night takeaway. Fancy a pizza late at night? No problem. Just few taps on your phone or clicks in your computer and piping hot pizza arrives at your doorstep in minutes. This is definitely one of the perks we as humans can enjoy living in modern day and age.

Big cities like London, Birmingham, Manchester and others in UK can enjoy a vast choice of food takeaway restaurants that are operating late. Some are even open 24h a day. If you are living in these cities in UK then you are likely never to go to bed on an empty stomach. 

A recent research by YouGov in 2021 showed that Chinese takeaways are ranked at the top spot. Followed by Indian and a British staple fish and chips in a 3rd place. Pizza takeaways follow not so far back, but there's a large gap further down the chart with Thai, kebabs, chicken, burger and sushi takeaways all with fairly similar % of people who picked them as their favourite.

Survey also revealed how our taste buds change with a different generation. Older people will prefer fish and chips when younger generation is more likely to go with pizza, Indian or Chinese food.

Having good takeaway reviews is a part of the game now since most orders are placed online where that crucial star rating is always in front of the shop.
